Queridos Amigos,
Before we start our extended honeymoon during the spring to early summer of 2010, this is my introductory post to my new blog about our travel experiences in only Avila-fashion... to write about our travels in my old KUWA-style... with vivid details of what we've seen, eaten (of course), heard, been amazed at, and what made our hearts go aflutter to a flamenco beat. I am hoping that this trip will be a wonderful celebration of our life together and our love to enjoy new things and our shared belief that life is fragile, short and we must take the time to do the things that will enrich our hearts, mind and soul!
So please come back and visit this page often... in your moments at work when you'd like to feel the soft Andalucian breeze in your ear or the juices of a mouthwatering Bistecca alla Fiorentina on your tongue...
By the way, the origin of the title of this blog is "Living la Vida Despacio" ("despacio" is slow in Spanish) after the many pieces I have read on learning to live life slow... non-conventional, non-industrial, to throw out the cookie cutter life of the 21st century matrix... in regard to food (of course), art (friendship, painting, living a truthful life), spirituality and mindfulness, to a universal belief of knowing what's important when it's important and hopefully leaving the rest in its place to be dealt with another day...
